Our Ceremony went off with a bang. It was hilarious, considered, thoughtful but very very funny. We both completed Lucy's Q&A and our own vows (my Husband had the world's shortest answers but with Lucy's help was able to create some beauties!!). As soon as our ceremony was over, everyone we spoke to said that it was the best ceremony that they had ever been part of and it absolutely set the tone for the rest of the day/night.
Initially, we were only looking for a Celebrant but once we met Lucy we knew she needed to be our MC and boy oh boy, was she exceptional. All the right responses, the jokes, all the laughs - my Dad even said "I really like your friend, she is so funny!!" - it felt like she had been in our lives all along. Here's a hot tip for all of you with soon-to-be-weds who, like us, were going to nominate their token extrovert friend into the MC role. They might say they are fine with it, but once that pressure is off their shoulders & they can sit back and enjoy the day & night, they'll let you know (5 times over) how grateful they were that you brought in the big guns (aka Lucy).
Not to mention, Lucy was our hype girl ALL DAY LONG. Any questions, changes, deliveries (at one point Lucy literally left the building to go collect me Nexium for crappy indigestion), she was there to help. If we wanted to hurry up and cut that cake or push back that speech because we were having too much damn fun, Lucy made it happen seamlessly.

"The ceremony was so personal and so quirky and so us. Lucy knew just when to bring things down, and when people were getting very emotional, to lift back up the lightness and humour (and subsequently, stop everyone from having a complete emotional breakdown). I had everyone throw their arms around me afterwards and tell me how incredible she is, and how true to us that ceremony was. I had guys who I would never expect to have shed a tear come up to me in shock telling me how much they cried, how much they laughed. Lucy was recommended to us by a friend purely based on the energy, professionalism and attention to detail that she would bring to our big day. Without knowing Lucy, we hit it off straight away and she was able to accommodate everything we wanted by encouraging us to do the day exactly how we wanted and made suggestions along the way to support that. Our ceremony was perfectly personalized, funny where it needed to be and so heart felt and warm in just the right places. Post ceremony, Lucy was our MC and kicked off the day/night and continued the personalised touches throughout each section of the night that created a lovely continuity and energy until the end. It is fair to say that Lucy brought our day together in a way that we couldn’t have imagined. "Lucy made the run up to our wedding a fun banterfest, and encouraged us to flex our creative writing muscles in answering her super cool pre-marriage questionnaire. Seeing her the night before for a little rehearsal real-ed the whole thing right up, but she was a lovely, giggly and calming presence. Same goes for meeting her on the actual day; she air kissed my final jitters away and assured me my future husband had not escaped. "Wow! Words cannot even begin to describe how amazing Lucy was as our celebrant. She met up with us a number of times prior to the wedding which made us feel so comfortable and was actually so fun, just like having coffee with an old friend. The ceremony was outstanding, humorous, yet loving and serious at the same time. By the end of the night we were seriously sick of everyone telling us how awesome our celebrant was!! The comment was made a few times that "the ceremony was so you" and that is for sure thanks to Lucy and how seriously she took her role.
