Lucy likes to speak in third person. And occasionally fourth. Woah, who said that? Anyway.
Adelaide-born and Melbourne-based, Lucy likes two things. And both of them are chocolate. But in other news, she also writes her own comedy cabaret shows and regularly makes a fool of herself on stage. With a BA in Music Theatre from the University of Ballarat (good times, y'all), Lucy often performs with the Australian Shakespeare Company (As You Like It, Carribean Pirates, Godspell) and Lux Radio Theatre (Gone With The Wind, Phantom of The Opera, Agatha Christie Murder Mysteries), and has had great critical acclaim with her sell-out cabaret shows Funny Face, Radelaide, Decadent, Dorothy Parker's Sweet Release of Death, Tell Me About Yourself, Radelaide, I'm Fine, and Drama* (*winner of an Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award for Best Cabaret) in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Barossa Valley.
Lucy is also a writer, regularly writing fun and ridiculous articles for various publications on important topics like womb steam-cleaning, and why the word 'Wangaratta' makes her think of hand-jobs. Don't ask. Read some of them here.
'A hilarious cabaret crossed with stand up comedy, peppered with a feminist twist. 'Funny Face' proves to everyone that women are indeed hilarious — from Betty White and Amy Poehler, to Lucy Gransbury.' ★★★★ Rip It Up
'Wit, panache, expert writing, singing, and yet more wit... A perfect evening out.' ★★★★★ Glam Adelaide, for 'Dorothy Parker's Sweet Release of Death'.
